I had thought the 3B card was on a WPA2 compatibility list, and I’ve seen some posts in other forums during my googling on this issue that suggests people with the card were able to set it up. I haven’t tried finding the Intel drivers versus the Lenovo ones. The WEP problem still occurs on that kernel module lsmod confirms only ipw is not loaded, but ndiswrapper is.

If you absolutely need WPA2, you will need to upgrade to a newer card that supports it. About 30 seconds later it asks for password again but it again tries to connect but never does. If I start downloading a large file, it drops the connection immediately. Two days ago the connection started 3 not only on my home network which worked fine before but also on other networks every couple of seconds. I even tested doing the same as yourself with 8. There is a thread in that forum for it.
