If you absolutely need WPA2, you will need to upgrade to a newer card that supports it. About 30 seconds later it asks for password again but it again tries to connect but never does. If I start downloading a large file, it drops the connection immediately. Two days ago the connection started 3 not only on my home network which worked fine before but also on other networks every couple of seconds. I even tested doing the same as yourself with 8.
